Utah Business Entity Search: A Step-by-Step Guide

Learning more information about specific business entities in the state of Utah is made easier with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code Business Search portal. The purpose of this page is to guide individuals on how to search and access details about specific businesses.

By searching, you can obtain extensive details about a business such as filing history, agents, and more. To find out how to do this, follow our guide below:

Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code Business Search Portal

The Utah business search portal [1] and database provides three search methods you can utilize, namely: by name, entity number, and executive name. If you have such information, you can go ahead and access the website and follow the step-by-step procedure below.

Aside from a business search, you also have the option to check the availability of your desired business name.

The information on the Utah business search portal is made public by the state for free, but if you want to purchase a Certificate of Existence for your personal copy, there are corresponding charges.

Search by Name

Step 1

Providing a business name is the most common and easy method to access more details about the businesses of your interest. To begin, access the Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code Business Search portal.

On the page, you will be provided with a blank search bar where you can enter the business name. Click “Search” once you’re done.

After clicking the name, you will be routed on the last page which contains extensive information about the business entity in question. Same as the previous method, additional functions are also available on this page which include: updating business information, purchasing a Certificate of Existence, as well as viewing more filed documents.

step 3

Search by Executive Name
